Paint stains on the floor, whether new or old, leave a nuisance as well as make your home ugly and look very dirty. So what should be done to make “them” disappear, let’s find out right away.

In the process of refurbishing and remodeling a house, no matter how careful and thorough it is, it is very difficult to avoid paint interference on the floor. When the paint is still wet, you can easily wipe it off, but if you don’t pay attention and let the paint dry over the day, it will be very difficult to remove it. No need to worry, just apply the ways below, ensuring the paint stain will disappear quickly without affecting your floor.

Currently, there are two common floor types that are ceramic tile and wooden floor, understanding the material of each floor will help cleaning become more convenient and effective faster.

firstRemove paint from ceramic tile floors

Use gasoline

This is a very popular way to remove paint stains on the floor. You pour the right amount of gasoline on a dry towel and then use it to wipe the paint, the paint will quickly melt and peel off the surface. About 5 minutes later, you just need to take a paper towel to wipe the paint off. The smell of gasoline after use will leave an unpleasant odor, you can wipe the floor with water to remove the smell.

Use sandpaper or a paper cutter

First, you pour a little water on the paint spot, wait about 2 minutes, then use sandpaper or a paper knife to scrape off the paint sticking on the tile floor. It should be noted that the movement should be done gently and slowly to avoid damaging and scratching the ceramic tile floor, causing unsightly.

Use white wine

To make stubborn paint stains disappear quickly, the first thing you need to do is go buy some alcohol. Then, pour it on the paint spot and let it sit for about 10 minutes, when the paint stains begin to peel off, take a brush to scrub the paint off the floor.

2Remove paint on wooden floors

Use hot water

When the paint is harden, you should put some hot water on the surface, the paint will automatically melt and break. It should be noted that the wood floor is very picky with water, so as soon as you pour it on, you should use a towel to rub it hard and quickly to make the paint stain disappear without causing water stasis causing damage to the floor.

Use Vinegar

With paint stains that have been on for a long time, dilute a little oil and vinegar with clean water in a ratio of 1: 2 and then use a towel to rub vigorously on the areas with paint. Absolutely do not pour vinegar directly on the floor, especially wooden floors because it can cause the floor surface to be worn and degraded.

Hopefully, the ways that I have shared can help you remove paint stains on the floor quickly and effectively without affecting the material of the floor.
