Whilst Mt Buller is best known for cold-weather pursuits of skiing and snowboarding, in summertime the mountain turns from white to green and attracts a whole new range of adventure seekers. An easy three-hour drive from Melbourne, Mt Buller’s stunning views, clean and crisp alpine air and a cool summer climate make for the perfect setting to enjoy a range of trail based activities including trail running, mountain biking and hiking.

In recent years Mt Buller has identified a great range of trails for running, with trails suitable for all levels ranging in distance from 3km to 21km and taking spectacular sights and stunning scenery – not to mention challenging terrain.

Mt Buller hosts a range of running events over the warmer months, with the most popular being the Mountain High Fun Run, held over the Easter long weekend. Participants can enjoy a leisurely lap around the Village, or push themselves to the limit on one of the more difficult courses. The event offers three course options ranging from a shorter 3.2km run around the Village to a challenging 8.9km course taking in the grueling ascent up the Mt Buller Summit. A new 15km course will be available in 2016, pushing the limits on some of the resort’s most challenging terrain – what a want to burn off all Easter Eggs!

Easter is a great time to visit Mt Buller, with plenty to keep everyone entertained. Families will be on top of the world at Mt Buller, with an exciting program offering events and activities for everyone to join in and have fun. Highlights include the Mountain High Fun Run and annual Cadbury Giant Easter Egg Hunt, plus plenty of other activities such as trampolining and rock climbing for the kiddies.
